Qualifications/Experience:
At least 2 years experience of working with children 0-5 years.
Responsibilities/Extra Information:
Responsible for planning and delivering age-appropriate activities to promote children's learning and development, observing and assessing their progress, ensuring their safety and well-being, working closely with parents, and maintaining a safe and stimulating learning environment, all while adhering to the Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines for children from birth to five years old.
Key responsibilities include:
- Child development observation :Monitoring children's progress across different developmental areas and using this information to plan individualised learning activities.
- Curriculum planning and delivery: Creating engaging and age-appropriate activities that support children's learning in areas like language, literacy, numeracy, physical development, and social skills.
- Safeguarding and child protection: Ensuring children's safety and well-being by following safeguarding procedures and reporting any concerns.
- Parent communication: Building positive relationships with parents, keeping them informed about their child's development, and involving them in their child's learning.
- Creating a positive learning environment: Setting up a safe and stimulating environment that encourages children to explore and learn through play.
- Supporting children with special needs: Adapting activities and providing additional support to children with individual needs.
- Maintaining accurate records: Keeping detailed records of children's development, observations, and activities.
- Teamwork and collaboration: Working effectively with other staff members to provide consistent high-quality care.
