Qualifications/Experience:

Must have 2 years' experience working in early years, along with a minimum Level 3 qualification and English and Maths Level 2 functional skills.
While not essential, as training will be provided, we would prefer someone who has experience leading a team.
Must have a passion for Early years and child development and be able to demonstrate great organisation skills as well as people skills.

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

The Deputy Nursery Manager will support the Nursery Manager in the daily running of the setting while working directly with children as part of the staff-to-child ratios.
They will provide high-quality care and learning opportunities, fulfil key person responsibilities and model good practice in safeguarding, behaviour support and curriculum delivery.
They will guide practitioners, support planning and assessment, maintain positive relationships with families and help ensure a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment.
In the Manager’s absence, they will take responsibility for the setting, coordinating staffing and responding to concerns, with appropriate cover
arranged whenever management duties require them to step away from supervising children.
