Qualifications/Experience:

2 years of experience working with children under 5 years old.
Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification
Level 2 functional skills in English and Maths.
Preferred but not essential: Safeguarding Level 3/DSL, Food Hygiene Level 2/3 & Paediatric First Aid.

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

The Room Leader will take responsibility for the daily running of their room while working directly with children as part of the staff-to-child ratios. They will provide high-quality care and learning opportunities, fulfil key person responsibilities and lead by example in safeguarding, behaviour support and curriculum delivery. They will guide and support their room team, coordinate daily routines, oversee planning and assessment, and ensure each child’s individual needs are met. They will build positive relationships with families, maintain accurate records and a safe, stimulating and inclusive environment, and communicate staffing needs, concerns and children’s progress to the management team.
