Early Years National Funding Formula (EYNFF)

The new provider hourly rates from 15th April 2024 (Summer term) to March 2025 are:

3- & 4-year-olds 2024/25 : £5.61 per hour.

Disadvantaged 2-year-olds (whose parents receive some additional government support) 2024/25 : £8.32 per hour.

2-year-old Eligible working parent 2024/25 : £8.22 per hour.

9month to 2 year working parent September 2024/25 £11.23 per hour.

The average deprivation rate remains the same at £0.08 and applies to all the funding streams except for Disadvantaged 2-year-olds.

Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) rate : 68p per hour

Disability Access Fund (DAF) payment : £910 per year.

All the new funding rates apply from the 15th April which is the start of the Summer term for both stretched and term time only funding offers. However children do not become eligible for the 9month+ Eligible Working Parent funding until the start of the Autumn term in September 2024.

Schools and Early Years Funding

Schools with a statutory age range starting at 2 or 3 years are funded for their Early Years children through the school budget, based on census data submitted with adjustments at the end of each term.  Children should be entered on SIMS.
