What's involved?

A career in Early Years involves much more than babysitting and playing with children. You will be a very important influence during the early stages of children's development as you support them to negotiate friendships, develop independence and learn through play, providing them with every opportunity to succeed in life.

You could work with babies, young children, and older children up to the age of 12 years. You will care for and support children, meet their needs and make sure they feel safe and happy. You will also make sure that they experience fun, interesting activities that help them grow and develop.

What skills and training will I need?
