Assistant Coach
As an Assistant Coach, you will be responsible for supporting the work of the lead coach in their delivery, ensuring that all of the CYP in attendance are engaging in the sessions and benefiting from them regularly. Assistant coaches may hold or will be working towards lower-level coaching qualifications alongside relevant first aid and safeguarding qualifications.
Lead Coach
As the Lead Coach, you will be responsible for running the sessions and leading assistant coaches. Lead Coaches will prepare and deliver activities for the CYP they work with on a regular basis at afterschool clubs, holiday clubs or in school PE sessions; they will need to plan sessions to meet the needs of those in attendance. Typically, Lead coaches will have a number of lower or higher level coaching qualifications (Examples of which include FA Level 1/2, England Basketball Level 2, UK Coaching Level 1/2/3) alongside relevant first aid and safeguarding qualifications.
Site/Camp Manager
As a site/camp manager, you will be responsible for the effective operation of holiday club and afterschool care sites, leading on health and safety practice, compliant with legislation and regulations, supporting staff and students to ensure camps and after school clubs run efficiently and safely. You will be responsible for implementing policies and procedures relating to Child Protection, using the organisations reporting structure to ensure all concerns are reported efficiently and effectively. Typically, site/camp managers will have experience working in childcare and they are likely to hold a childcare, sport or teaching related degree as well as holding relevant coaching, safeguarding and paediatric first aid qualifications.
