Qualifications/Experience:

• Level 3 qualification in Early Years required,
• Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene preferred but not essential.
• Knowledge of Child Protection
• Early Years Foundation stage. Training will be given where appropriate.

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

• The knowledge of safeguarding and protection of the children in our care is essential.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities that support children's development across all areas of learning.
• Provide high quality childcare in accordance with the Pre-school's policies and procedures.
• To be able to communicate effectively with the children, parents and colleagues to ensure a supportive atmosphere.
• To help manage transition times such as snack time and lunch time and free flow play.
• To observe and record children's progress, contributing to their individual learning plans, through our Tapestry online learning journey.
• To support the lead practitioners in maintaining a safe, clean and organised Pre-School environment.
• To provide opportunities to encourage the children's social skills, independence and confidence.
