Qualifications/Experience:

Level 2 or level 3 in childcare. At least 1 years experience, baby room experience would be ideal.

To work effectively as part of a team, to be positive and demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop new knowledge and skills. Also ensure that all children feel safe and secure and that you set an appropriate example for them at all times.
Responsibilities

• To make sure that you are aware of, and follow the policies and procedures as set out in the Welsh Lane Day Nursery handbook
• To fully comply with our Safeguarding policy (child protection), and Prevent Duty and to bring any concerns to the attention of the manager/deputy
• To keep parents/carer informed of their children’s progress
• To work in partnership with parents/ carers at all times recognising their importance as primary carers of their children
• To keep up to date with current legislation and childcare practice and attend any training required
• To plan, organise and implement appropriate activities that are age appropriate.
• To maintain and contribute to all child records.
• To help maintain a clean and organised room.
• To ensure health and safety regulations are met, and report any concerns to the manager/deputy
• To attend regular staff meetings and parents meetings
• To ensure a bright and stimulating environment is maintained for the children by the use of displays, children’s work and appropriate arrangement of equipment.
• To support supervise students and be supportive of any staff undergoing further training
• To contribute to all nursery activities and events
• To work as part of the whole nursery team
