Nursery Assistant - Buckingham Primary School - Buckingham

Qualifications/Experience:

Nursery Experience is preferred but any experience working with children will be considered.
Qualification are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

  • To assist the nursery team in providing a friendly, caring and relaxing environment in order to encourage and develop children in our care.
  • To ensure all daily routines are adhered to.
  • Adopt a creative and innovative approach toward practice, by being open to opportunities for improvement.
  • In line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage. Plan and provide safe, appropriate, child-led and adult initiated experiences, activities
    Select, prepare and use a range of resource suitable for children's ages, interests and abilities, taking account of diversity and promoting equality and inclusion.
  • Maintain children's records and carry out assessments.
  • To settle in new children and provide on-going support, liaising with parents and maintaining good communications.
  • Undertake laundry and kitchen cleaning duties daily. Keep Laundry/other areas and kitchen clean and tidy.
  • To assist in maintaining a safe, clean and tidy Nursery.
  • To ensure nursery policies for health, hygiene and safety are adhered to, with particular attention to hygiene practices and the prevention of accidents.
  • To keep abreast of current issues.
  • Contribute to and participate in team meetings/team activities.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are adhered to and implemented in the Nursery.
    Respect confidentiality within the setting and maintain high standards of conduct in keeping with the nursery.
  • Take reasonable care of yourself and others, to comply with the Nursery and School Health and Safety Policy
