Qualifications/Experience:

A minimum of Level 3 qualification in Early Years (DFE approved)
Good basic education to GCSE level in English and Mathematics (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent if educated in other UK nations or overseas
A minimum of 2 years' experience working in a EYFS setting.
Some experience in managing an early years or pre-school setting.
Salary between £30,410-£32,621 (annually) dependant on level of experience.

Responsibilities:

To ensure provision is of the highest quality at all times.
Ensure the nursery operates efficiently and complies with all statutory requirements for safeguarding, health and safety and school policies.
Proactively contribute to effective teamwork and foster open and honest communication amongst all employees within the nursery.
Always maintain appropriate staffing levels and ratios, with support from the headteacher. Responsibility for staffing rotas.
Support and contribute to the strategic development of the nursery provision.
Manage the day-to-day nursery & pre-school resources and finances with support from the school business manager.
Identify staff training and development needs, planning with the management team to ensure these needs are met. This will be done through supervision and appraisal.
Work in partnership with the school reception teacher to ensure that the children are ready for school.
Work in partnership with Early Years professionals and agencies, for example Buckinghamshire Early years team, Health Visitors and SEND services.
Manage and organise staff meetings and briefings for nursery staff and attend relevant whole-school staff meetings where appropriate.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and knowledge of the Christian vision and values in sympathy with the ethos of the school.
