Requesting an Education Health and Care Needs Assessment (EHCNA) – from September 2024 all EHCNA requests need to be made through the Professional Portal.

SEN Professional Portal

The SEN Professional Portal is a new secure online platform. It allows professionals who work with children with special educational needs (SEN) to provide information to the Local Authority (LA) about the children they support.

The portal is currently designed to streamline the application process for :

How to use the SEN Professional Portal

To use the SEN Professional Portal, you need to follow these steps:

1. Register yourself as a professional on the portal using your work email address.
2. Log in to the portal and select the type of application you want to submit (EHNCAs).
3. Fill in the required details about the child, the setting, and the level of support needed.
4. Attach any relevant documents or evidence to support your application.
5. Submit your application and wait for the LA to review it and provide feedback.
