Qualifications/Experience:

Level 2 or level 3 in child development

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

• Work with an ethos of respect and professionalism.
• Understand that each child is an individual and have a sound knowledge of childcare.
• Take responsibility for each child’s progress.
• Develop positive relationships with parents & guardians.
• Supervise children indoors and outdoors at all times.
• To ensure that the environments are inviting and resourced efficiently.
• Be responsible for maintaining a stimulating and attractive nursery environment.
• Actively participate in nursery events such as parents evening, play and stay.
• Take responsibility for nursery resources.
• Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities, including appraisals.
• Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
• Ensure the general cleanliness of the children at all times.
• Be familiar with all emergency and security procedures.
• To be familiar with and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
• Be aware and act upon children’s individual needs.
• Develop and deliver age and stage appropriate activities.
• Ensure that all practice is inclusive to all the children.
• Ensure you are a reflective Qualified Early Years Educator.
• Ensure you have good understanding and knowledge of safeguarding.
• You MUST hold a level 3 or level 2 certificate in child development.
