Qualifications/Experience:

L3 or above CHILDCARE qualification (required)
1 year nursery experience (required)
Experience as a room leader desirable but not essential

Job Overview:

We are a small stand-alone nursery seeking a dedicated Room Leader for our 2-5's Room of 24 children to join our team in providing high-quality care and education to young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and ensuring their well-being and development.
We are willing to be flexible for the right candidate, the role is for full time 40 hours per week, but this could be over 4 long day with a non-working day through the week. We would also consider 32 hours per week for the right candidate.
Salary from £28,000, we are willing to negotiate the right salary for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise children in a nursery setting
  • Demonstrate leadership skills in guiding and supporting nursery staff
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Utilise experience in childcare to create engaging and educational activities
  • Drive the implementation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Support children's learning and development through play and structured activities

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education
  • Have experience working with young children in a nursery environment
  • Possess strong communication skills in English
  • Demonstrate a caring and nurturing approach towards children
  • Be passionate about providing a safe and stimulating environment for children
