Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) will be paid as an addition to the funding rate for children in all funding streams who meet the eligibility criteria. To find out more about the eligibility criteria, and to check if a child is eligible, please follow this link.

Once a child is found eligible, EYPP will automatically be added to the funding you receive, in line with the following rules/restrictions. Once eligible, EYPP funding continues for the child whilst relevant funded hours are being claimed and until they enter a maintained school reception class, or reach statutory school age, whichever is earlier.

Splitting EYPP Between Providers for 2’s and Under 2’s where there is a working parent funded entitlement of 30 hours:

• Two Providers:
• If both providers claim more than 7.5 hours, EYPP is split evenly. (7.5 EYPP funded hours each)

If one claims less than 5 hrs, the provider with the most claimed hours receives the EYPP on all their funded hours (up to a maximum 15), any remaining will then go to the other provider.

• Three Providers:
  • If all providers claim 5 or more hours, EYPP is split evenly. (5 EYPP funded hours each)

If at least one provider claims less than 5 hrs, EYPP is allocated starting with the provider claiming the most hours, any remaining will then go to the other providers in order of how many hours are claimed
