Qualifications/Experience:

Minimum of 2 years experience in a childcare setting
Level 3 qualification

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

• To help to set up the rooms for the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session
• To act as a keyworker to a small group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers and ensuring each child’s needs are recognised and met, to write observations on all children
• To advise the pre-school leaders/Designated Safeguarding Officer or Deputy (DSO) of any concerns e.g. the safety of equipment, over children, parents and safeguarding and child protection issues, preserving confidentiality as necessary
• To teach children in accordance with the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum (EYFS), offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation
• To attend staff meetings, inset days and pre-term staff meetings
• To attend in-service training courses and meetings as required
• To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which has been learned as part of the job.
• To keep up to date with and follow pre-school policies and procedures acknowledging and responding to any changes as and when notified, and as detailed in the General Employment Conditions and Code of Conduct
• To offer personal care to children to promote independent toileting and other self-care skills.
• To carry out any other reasonable requests from Pre-School Leaders
