Level 3 Award for Special Educational Needs Coordinators in Early Years Settings (NCFE)  – Fill in form

Research consistently highlights that having a qualified Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) within early years settings is linked to improved outcomes for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). Settings with trained SENCOs tend to have stronger SEND leadership, more confident staff, and better family engagement which supports children’s development and emotional wellbeing.

If you are interested in completing the SENCO Level 3 Award for Early Years Practitioners independently, you may want to explore online training opportunities. Below are a few options to help you get started. Before applying, we recommend reviewing each course carefully to ensure it meets your individual needs and is suitable for your setting.

Once you’ve completed your Level 3 Award, please let us know! We would love to add you to our Qualified SENCO Register and invite you to participate in exciting projects aimed at supporting children with SEND across Buckinghamshire. This includes opportunities to share best practice, collaborate with other professionals, and contribute to shaping inclusive early years provision county-wide.
