Qualifications/Experience:
Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or
above.
Previous experience working with children in an
Early Years or childcare setting.
Current training in:
Safeguarding Children
Prevent Duty
Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) Awareness
Food Hygiene
Paediatric First Aid
Please note that the above training is desirable but not essential, as full in-house training and professional development opportunities will be
provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities/Extra Information:
About the Role:
As an Early Years Practitioner, you will work as part of a supportive team to provide high-quality care and engaging activities for children. You will help create a welcoming environment where children feel valued, safe, and encouraged to develop their independence, confidence, and social skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children attending the setting.
Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities that support children's development and interests.
Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues.
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children at all
times.
Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and setting
policies and procedures.
Support children's individual needs and promote inclusive practice.
Assist with snack preparation and maintain high standards of hygiene.
Essential Requirements:
A genuine passion for working with children.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Understanding of the importance of safeguarding and child welfare.
Ability to work flexibly and positively within a busy childcare environment.
