Qualifications/Experience:
Ideally a Level 3 NVQ in early childcare but training can be supported for the right candidate.
Experience at working in an early years setting is essential.
Willingness to undertake First Aid Training.
Willingness to undertake safeguarding training and a DBS.
Responsibilities/Extra Information:
Support the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum through planned activities and play-based learning.
Contribute to planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s development across all areas of learning.
Work closely with key children, supporting their individual learning journeys and maintaining up-to-date observations and assessments.
Provide high-quality care and supervision for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe and nurturing environment.
Support with intimate care routines, including toileting, nappy changing, and promoting independence in self-care.
Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues to support children’s emotional wellbeing and development.
Maintain a clean, tidy, and stimulating environment that promotes learning and exploration.
Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to ensure the welfare of all children.
Attend and contribute to team meetings, training sessions, and supervision meetings as part of ongoing professional development.
Uphold the values and policies of the setting, promoting inclusion, equality, and respect at all times.
Work under the guidance of senior staff while developing confidence and skills to take on increasing responsibility
