Qualifications/Experience:

Level 3 Early Years qualification, or currently
pursuing Level 3, or willing to undertake training
towards Level 3
Enthusiasm for working with young children
Understanding of child development and the
EYFS
Good communication and teamwork skills
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting
children’s welfare

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

Provide a safe and caring environment for children
Support the delivery of high-quality early years education
Assist in planning and implementing EYFS activities
Contribute to stimulating, interactive, child centred indoor and outdoor environments that enrich and enhance provision and enable independence
Observe and record children’s development
Support pupils to achieve their potential and make progress at their own level 

Ensure that any Support Plans, EHCP’s and personalised strategies are followed, in collaboration with children, family members, the
settings SENDCo and outside agencies
Be responsible for high standards of behaviour in the setting, demonstrating consistent, effective and appropriate behaviour management
strategies in the line with agreed policies
Work effectively as part of the nursery team
Inform relevant staff including the Room Lead and the Safeguarding team regarding concerns around a child’s social, emotional or
behavioural development
Participate in any meetings at the school
which relate to the setting, support best practice and continuous professional development
