Qualifications/Experience:

Successful candidate will be qualified with a Level 2 or above in a relevant Early Years Childcare qualification.
Please note, a Health & Social Care qualification is not considered equivalent.
Previous experience of working with children in a Pre-School or similar setting is essential.
Excellent knowledge and application of the Early Years Foundation Stage.
Job offer will be subject to an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.

and development.

Previous experience of working with young children.
Sound knowledge of child development for children from birth to five years.
Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
Experience working with children in the last 2 years
Experience and knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Good communication skills
An understanding of play based approaches to children's learning and development
Commitment to equal opportunities

Friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships
Willingness to provide cover in the absence of co-workers and be flexible with working arrangements according to the needs of the setting

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

To assist with the planning of the curriculum using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
curriculum for guidance.
To help to set up the daily programme and to help tidy away at the end of the session.
To act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely and building an effective relationship with parents/carers and ensuring each child's needs are recognised and met.
