Qualifications/Experience:

Level 3 Early Years qualification, or or above.

Experience working in an Early Years setting
Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

Leading by example and be an outstanding role model both as practitioner and a leader
Lead the day-to-day organisation of a nursery room and deploy staff and resources effectively
Plan and deliver an ambitious and challenging curriculum, reflecting the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
framework
Be committed to raising the quality of teaching, learning and assessment across the setting including monitoring children’s progress and maintaining accurate records
Support children’s learning, development
and wellbeing
To be responsible for the day to day management of behaviour within the setting
Identifying SEND needs to the SENDCo and working to ensure that any Support Plans, EHCPs and personalised strategies are followed, in
collaboration with children, families members, the SENDCo and outside agencies
Building effective relationships with families and dealing with day to day issues as they arise
Keeping abreast of current good practice for the setting and encouraging all staff in their professional development
Support and mentor other staff within the
room
To work with the school EYFS lead to ensure consistency and effective transition
