Qualifications/Experience:

Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education recognised by relevant authorities
Proven experience working within a nursery setting or similar childcare environment
Strong management and leadership skills to guide junior staff and support team development
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with children of various ages and backgrounds
Knowledge of current childcare legislation, policies, and best practices
Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external activities
Passionate about early childhood development with a caring and professional attitude
Experience in leadership and team management skills

Responsibilities/Extra Information:

Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate learning activities that support children's developmental needs
Provide high standards of care, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all children in your supervision
Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication and teamwork
Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
Support children's emotional and social development through nurturing interactions and
behaviour management strategies
Lead by example in promoting inclusive practices and encouraging children's independence
Assist with organising nursery routines, including meal times, naps, and play sessions 

Contribute to the overall organisation of the nursery environment to ensure it remains safe, clean, and stimulating
Act as the lead for safeguarding in the manager’s absence
